MANHATTAN SHORT Announces the Ten Finalists for its 2012 Film Festival
Latest News: MANHATTAN SHORT announced the Ten Finalists for its 15th Annual Film Festival.
This year the Festival received 520 entries from 49 countries, with films from Norway, The Netherlands, Russia, England, Ireland, Peru, France, Romania, USA and Spain making up the ten finalists. These films will not only entertain but be judged by an audience of over 100,000 film-lovers across six continents in the 15th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT.
Audiences at each venue will be asked to vote for the ONE film they think is best and the winner of the ultimate audience award will be announced at ManhattanShort.com on Sunday October 7th at 10PM EST. 'There are 147 American cinemas participating in this year's event. That's up from 90 Cinemas from last year, and is indicative of how popular this event has become. Many of these new venues are the same theatres that feature Hollywood blockbusters" said Founding Director Nicholas Mason.
"One of the goals of MANHATTAN SHORT is to introduce filmmakers with their short films to a wider audience. We believe these directors are about to make the transition into feature film-making. Presenting these short films at cinemas which so many movie-lovers attend is a great way to make that introduction."
